Battle, Winslow, Scott & Wiley, P.A., is pleased to welcome attorney Alex Urquhart to the firm. Mr. Urquhart joined the firm last month and will work primarily in the practice areas of litigation and family law while supporting the remaining practices of the firm, as well.

Mr. Urquhart is a native of Edgecombe County.  He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Arts in Global Studies and a second major in Economics.  Mr. Urquhart obtained his Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University Law School and has a certificate in Environmental Law.  He plans to grow an environmental practice at the firm.

While in law school, Mr. Urquhart participated in internships at the United States Bankruptcy Court in the Northern District of Georgia, the Environmental Division of the North Carolina Attorney General’s Office, and the Pender County District Attorney’s Office.  After law school, Mr. Urquhart returned to North Carolina and practiced trusts and estates law in Raleigh, North Carolina. 

Mr. Urquhart is a member of the Nash, Edgecombe and Wilson Judicial District Bar, and the North Carolina Bar Association.  He looks forward to serving Nash and Edgecombe Counties and the surrounding communities.
